How many Christians today are throwing rocks but hiding their hands? They wear the mask of judgment and legalism under the disguise of grace.  In this story (John 8:1-11), a group of Pharisees brings a woman to Jesus who had been caught in the act of adultery. Caught in the act. Not just accused. The author doesn’t say, but I can only imagine that this woman felt terrified, and possibly ashamed. Surrounded by people with rocks in their hands, ready to throw.  She had nowhere to hide, and no one to turn to. When Jesus is the only one worthy of throwing a stone... He doesn't. 

This story teaches that no one has a right to throw stones, and hide their hands. We all have missed the mark, and in need of God's grace. If you ever wondered what his grace truly looks like, take a look at this story. 

It's time to stop throwing stones, because when you throw stones, you don't have time to love people.
