Advent means the "Arrival or the coming." But the coming of what? And why?

Is this just another year of cheering through the historical incarnation of baby Jesus in a manger? What is it that really makes our joy and peace complete this advent season? (Hint) The advent story didn't begin nine months before our Savior was birthed. 

The whole bible is advent! Can you find it through its pages? Advent brings the wrath of God against sin and death. It is the Incarnation.
